These Terms of Use govern mobile applications, websites, and related services provided by CodeEx Technology Limited ("CodeEx", "we", "us", or "our") that link to them (the "Products"). By installing or using one of our Products, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Product.
Age and authority
Products governed by these Terms are intended for users aged 17 and older. If your local law imposes a higher age or requires additional consent, you must meet that condition. You confirm that you can legally enter into these Terms.
Licence and intended operation
CodeEx grants you a limited, personal, non-commercial, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Product for its intended purpose on a device you own or control. The licence ends when these Terms or your right to use the Product ends.
Files, authentication entries, and connected devices
You remain responsible for files, images, verification entries, device selections, and other material involved in actions you initiate. You must have the necessary rights and authority. Some Products do not require registration, while an authenticator or music player Product may offer an account, profile, or content-submission function. Where offered, you are responsible for accurate account information, account security, and activity performed through the account.
When a feature requests operating-system permission to select a file or discover and connect to compatible equipment, you decide whether to grant it. Maintain your own backups of important local files and recovery material.
Authenticator backup
An authenticator Product may let you back up 2FA codes to a Google Drive account you select. You are responsible for protecting that account and maintaining independent recovery material. CodeEx cannot guarantee recovery when the device, Google account, or third-party service is unavailable.
Music player accounts, cloud services, and content
A music player Product may allow an account or profile, content submissions, and access to audio you select from Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, or your device. You must follow the relevant cloud provider's terms and have the rights needed to access, play, upload, or share the content.
You retain ownership of content you submit and grant CodeEx a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, transmit, format, and display it only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the related Product. We may remove unlawful, infringing, abusive, or privacy-invasive content and may suspend or terminate an account for material breach or service risk.
Rules for responsible use
- Use Products only for lawful purposes and respect privacy, intellectual property, and device-ownership rights.
- Do not interfere with security, networks, availability, or another person's equipment.
- Do not distribute malware, overload a service, scrape data, or attempt unauthorized access.
- Do not reverse engineer or bypass technical restrictions except where applicable law expressly permits it.
- Do not misrepresent a Product, its results, or your relationship with CodeEx.
Product and brand ownership
CodeEx or its licensors retain all rights in Product software, interfaces, documentation, graphics, names, and trademarks. Your content remains yours. These Terms grant no ownership interest and no right to reproduce or distribute the Product beyond the limited licence.
Privacy and permissions
The CodeEx Privacy Policy describes information handling and is incorporated into these Terms. Permission prompts and feature notices should be reviewed before you allow access or start an online operation.
Stores, connected services, and advertising
A Product may depend on app stores, operating-system services, compatible hardware, payment platforms, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, support tools, analytics, advertising, or external links. Third parties operate those services under their own terms, and availability may depend on their systems and policies.
Optional trials and subscriptions
If a Product purchase page offers a free trial or auto-renewing subscription, it will disclose the duration, price, and billing interval before purchase. Cancellation must be completed through the corresponding app-store account settings. Uninstalling a Product does not cancel billing.
Refunds and billing disputes follow the store's rules and applicable consumer law. Where identified in a specialty Product, limited subscription information such as a user identifier, entitlement status, spending or purchase status, and related usage may be provided to Apple or another marketplace or subscription processor to administer the transaction.
Product changes and access
CodeEx may update, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features for security, compatibility, legal, operational, or product reasons. We may restrict access if use violates these Terms or creates material risk. You may stop using a Product at any time.
Warranty position
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Products are provided "as is" and "as available." CodeEx does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or compatibility with every file, device, camera, accessory, or third-party service. Non-excludable statutory rights remain unaffected.
Liability boundary
To the extent permitted by law, CodeEx is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss. Aggregate liability for a claim will not exceed the amount paid for the affected Product during the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. These restrictions do not apply where prohibited by applicable law.
Disputes and applicable rules
These Terms are governed by the law that applies to the relationship. For an authenticator or music player Product whose specialty terms refer to the intellectual-property laws of China and applicable foreign jurisdictions, those rules apply to the relevant Product and content to the extent legally effective. Contact us before commencing formal proceedings so that the issue can be discussed informally. Mandatory consumer remedies and access to a competent court remain available.
Revised Terms
We may revise these Terms to reflect Product, operational, or legal changes. The revision date identifies the current version. Material changes will receive additional notice where required. Use after revised Terms take effect indicates acceptance.
