CodeEx Technology Limited

Privacy Policy

Revision date: March 14, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how CodeEx Technology Limited ("CodeEx", "we", "us", or "our") handles information through mobile applications, websites, and related services that link to this policy. Information is handled according to the feature you choose, rather than assuming every CodeEx product uses the same data.

Files and content chosen by you

Products with document or PDF functions may access only the files or images you select for conversion, viewing, or another requested operation. Work that can be performed on the device is kept there. You are responsible for ensuring that you have permission to use selected material.

If a feature clearly identifies remote photo or video processing and you actively start it, the selected content and corresponding output may be transmitted for that operation. Such uploaded photos, videos, and generated results are deleted no later than two weeks after the last related processing activity.

Authenticator entries

Verification secrets and time-based codes used by a related authenticator product are processed on the device and are not uploaded by default. If you deliberately enable its backup function, the product may store a backup of 2FA codes in the Google Drive account you select. Google processes that backup under its own terms. Protect your device, Google account, and any independent recovery material.

An authenticator product may also offer registration for account-related controls. In that case, it may process the email address and service information needed to create, secure, and administer the account.

Music player accounts and selected audio

A music player product may let you create an account or profile, submit content, and select audio or related files from your device or connected Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive account. Only the files and account authorization needed for the action you request are accessed. The relevant cloud provider controls its own account and storage practices.

Where a music player offers advertising or analytics, it may process an advertising identifier, device and app information, IP address, interactions, and diagnostic events through providers such as AdMob or Firebase Analytics. These practices apply to that product and do not mean every CodeEx product uses the same data.

Connecting to devices

When you choose a connection or scanning function, the product may request the device permissions needed to discover or communicate with compatible nearby equipment or cameras. The operating system presents the permission request. You can deny or later revoke it, although the selected connection feature may then be unavailable.

Connection information is used only to perform the discovery, setup, status, or communication action requested by you. It is not treated as permission to access unrelated device content.

Network and support information

An IP address is processed when a product accesses an online service. We may also receive the app version, device and operating-system type, language, compatibility information, error details and, where identified for a specific product, a device, installation, or advertising identifier needed to deliver, protect, advertise, analyze, or troubleshoot that function.

Support correspondence may include your email address, screenshots, and other details you decide to send. We use it to investigate the request, reply, and keep necessary service records.

How CodeEx uses information

  • to provide the file, authentication, connection, scanning, or other function you request;
  • to remember settings and maintain compatible operation;
  • to secure products, diagnose failures, and prevent misuse;
  • to respond to support and improve reliability based on submitted feedback; and
  • to comply with applicable legal requirements.

Service providers and advertising

Some CodeEx products may display advertising or use analytics. Depending on the specific product and function, providers may include AdMob, Firebase Analytics, Google services including Google Drive and reCAPTCHA, Dropbox, OneDrive, and SupportBox support services operated by OLYMPIC s.r.o. Advertising and analytics are not described as features of every product, and applicable platform controls identify available choices.

We may disclose limited information to those providers and other vendors that support requested online functions, infrastructure, app-store transactions, customer support, or legal compliance. Vendors may use information only for their authorized role and under applicable terms and safeguards. We may also disclose information when lawfully required or necessary to protect rights and safety.

How long information is kept

Files, authentication entries, and settings kept locally remain subject to your device controls and backup behavior. Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive content remains under the controls and retention practices of the selected cloud account. A specialty-product account and its profile or submissions may be retained while active and for a limited period afterward where needed for closure, disputes, security, or legal compliance. Support records, transaction records, analytics, advertising, and security information are retained only while reasonably necessary for their purpose, under the relevant provider policy, or as required by law. The two-week deletion period described above applies only to photos, videos, and generated results actually uploaded for remote processing.

Processing across borders

Information may be processed outside the country or region where you live by vendors supporting an online function. We use measures required by applicable law to protect such processing. We do not designate a specific server country in this policy.

Your decisions and legal rights

You may control permissions through device settings, choose which content to process, remove locally stored items using available controls, or discontinue use. Applicable law may also give you rights concerning information controlled by CodeEx, including access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection. Contact us to make a request; verification may be required.

Security and intended age

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no service can guarantee absolute security. Products governed by this policy are intended for users who meet the age and legal-capacity requirement presented for the relevant product. Specialty products whose notices state that they are not directed to children under 13 follow that requirement. A higher minimum age or additional-consent rule under local law applies where required.

Revisions

We may revise this policy when a product, practice, or legal requirement changes. The revision date above identifies the current version. We will provide additional notice of material changes when required.
